NewMark Merrill Companies has embarked on a mission to uplift our communities through the patronage of public art at our shopping centers— unexpected venues for such cultural experiences. We believe that art has the power to foster hope, instill pride and bring vibrancy to the people we serve every day. In areas where access to art can be limited, these engaging works create unique community spaces that allow the imagination to flourish. We hope they will inspire every viewer to dream bigger and see beyond perceived barriers.
Featuring Local Artists
Each work of art begins with the selection of a local artist who has significant ties to the community. Through a partnership between the artist and the center, the vision is conceived and brought to life on the walls, ground, asphalt, and other unexpected areas throughout our shopping centers.

“I paint very colorful, very happy, very energetic… So, I feel more alive, I feel more hopeful and joyful. I hope that comes across.”
Statement about the Mural: “Wholehearted Bloom” was painted with the intention of growing love through art. The placement of the mural in the parking garage is like a seed in the darkness of the soil. For love to take root, it needs to grow through the darkness and into the light. With each person that sees the mural, a spark of positivity and love is put in the forefront of their mind. As they go out of the parking garage and into the light, their smiles are representatives of the wholehearted bloom and the flowering power of the two hands making the heart.
